Grooming of Older Persons at Mji wa Huruma
The CPF Foundation in partnership with other key stakeholders including Nairobi County Government and Suqoon Foundation joined in spreading joy at Mji wa Huruma Home for the elderly on 30th April 2025. The event focused on enhancing care and dignity for older persons through grooming, feeding, medical checks and entertainment. During the event, 60 older persons were reached. The Foundation also enhanced partnerships, stakeholder networks and Intergenerational engagement.


Improving shelter and livelihoods - Golden Homes Project
On 10th April 2025, the CPF Group Foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Gender, Youth, Sports, and Social Services, officially launched the Golden Homes Project at Mwangaza in Tana River County. The initiative focuses on renovation of homes and economic empowerment for senior citizens, particularly vulnerable older persons, including both pensioners and non-pensioners. The successful launch not only energized the local community but also marked the beginning of a longer-term partnership to scale the initiative across the county. Three families were directly reached, and over 30 older persons were encouraged to form groups for ease of coordination.


Official Launch of the CPF Foundation
CPF Foundation successfully hosted over 300 stakeholders during the launch event held on 15th May 2025 at the National Museums of Kenya. It brought together representatives from government agencies, partner organizations, and networks of older persons. The event served as a strategic platform to enhance the Foundation’s brand visibility while fostering collaboration with like-minded actors within the older people’s ecosystem.

Promoting inclusion through mobility intervention in Kajiado County
CPF Foundation, in partnership with the Good Friend of Maasai Community Foundation and the Chair of the Love Foundation, held a wheelchair distribution event on the 16th and 17th June 2025 in Kajiado. The primary objective of the events was to enhance mobility and restore dignity for persons living with disabilities, particularly older adults, by providing high-quality wheelchairs.
The team distributed 100 wheelchairs, with 40 beneficiaries being older persons.




Social entrepreneurship Conference participation
CPF Group Foundation, in collaboration with CPF Asset Managers and LITES, successfully participated in the 8th Annual Africa Conference on Social Entrepreneurship (AACOSE) held from the 14th to 16th May 2025 at Tangaza University. The conference was attended by 400 delegates. The Foundation supported KARIKA an organization of older persons to attend too.


Visit to Nyumba ya Wazee, Kasarani – 1st August 2025
On 1st August 2025, CPF Foundation partnered with Zuri Health, the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD), and Suqoon Foundation for a visit to Nyumba ya Wazee, a private elderly care home in Kasarani, Nairobi. The home is managed by the Catholic Church and serves 63 elderly individuals who are vulnerable, abandoned, or in need of daily care and companionship.
The visit focused on delivering essential medical care, nutritious meals, mobility assistance, emotional support, and recreational activities to the residents. The initiative aligns with CPF Foundation’s mission to foster inclusive well-being and strengthen communities by responding to the needs of marginalized populations through collaborative, compassionate outreach.
Machakos Social and Economic Empowerment Project
In July, the Foundation commenced the social economic empowerment project in Machakos. This involved visit to Ndalani, Yatta Sub-County, and Muthesia in Masinga. Their main visible activities include goat rearing and table banking, which serve as both livelihood strategies and community- building practices.


Following the preparations, a poultry training was organised benefiting 60 members together with their families.

Healthy Ageing through Sports
The CPF Group Foundation partnered with Suqoon, Agewatch Foundation, and other stakeholders in the East Africa Legends Football Tournament held from 30th September to 1st October 2025 at the University of Nairobi. The tournament championed the Healthy Ageing Agenda, showing that age is not a barrier to enjoying football, even in the golden years. The event was graced by 100 former national team players from Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. It was also attended by representatives from 15 partner organizations. Our participation reaffirmed CPF Group’s commitment to advancing the rights and well-being of older persons.
